We are Bob and Flory Wilkins, owners of Windows of the West Stained Glass. After retiring in 1999 we developed an interest in the concept of stained glass and decided to pursue it for something different to do. A life long friend who is a stained glass artist, offered us courses while we were in Arizona and she instilled in us the desire to be the best we could be. What started as a hobby has now blossomed into a small stained glass studio in Innisfail Alberta, recognized as one of the Professional Stained Glass Studios in Alberta, by the Spectrum Glass Company Inc.

We have a great passion for our work, especially wildlife, bird, western and flower panels. We also do windows, lamps and work from photographs submitted by pet lovers, immortalizing them in stained glass. Pride in our work ensures the highest quality of workmanship. We are also members of the Wellspring Visual ArtNetwork Association located in Olds Alberta.

In December 2006 we were featured on Dragonfly Software’s California website for their design of the month, which featured a large Prairie Sunrise window created for a home in Central Alberta. In 2007 and again in 2009 Parks Canada accepted our Great Horned Owl and Elk panels respectively for their Brilliance of Birds and Park Wildlife displays held at Radium Hot Springs.

We have been commissioned for pieces from Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario. Our products have gone across Canada, USA, Europe, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica and Saudi Arabia. We have been featured on numerous USA and Canadian websites.

We have taken further courses in Arizona and Alberta and are members of the Alberta Craft Council. We also teach an enhancement stained glass course.

Our glass creations are available at the following locations: White Raven Emporium Didsbury, Cabinet of Curiosities Art Gallery, Stettler and The Historic Markerville Creamery. We sell at the Innisfail Farmers Market, Ponoka Stampede Art & Gift Show and Sale, as well at the Festival of Trees Red Deer, Christmas in Markerville and various other Christmas Markets in Central Alberta including Red Deer and Innisfail.

Our stained glass pieces are highly prized and recognized for their exceptional craftsmanship and artistic use of very high quality art glass from leading glass manufactures.

TESTIMONIALS

I had a look at your web site and it's really looking professional. The art you have on there is impressive. Many thanks for giving me a bit of recognition on the Owl frame. Much appreciated.

-- Bob Bryce

Enclosed are photos of the Owl & Mountain Lion hanging in our kitchen windows - Owl in our city home overlooking the ravine and Mountain Lion at the farm overlooking the treed front yard. They both fit the background scene perfectly and radiate the feeling both could actually be alive. The quality of each piece is superb and we will enjoy forever.

What a lovely surprise to open my stained glass shamrock door prize at the last Seniors skate at the Calgary Oval for the 2003-2004 Season. This beautifully made Shamrock is even more meaningful to me as I have an Irish maiden name. This delightful gift now hangs in my kitchen. With thanks and appreciation.
